Therapy for Individuals with ADHD
Does this sound familiar?
You are constantly late, missing deadlines, or forgetting things that are important to you, and others are getting frustrated with you, but nothing you try seems to help
You know what needs to get done around your house, but there’s some invisible force preventing you from getting off the couch
Things just seem so easy for everyone else, and you just can’t understand why things are so much harder for you.
You have trouble managing your emotions and it’s interfering with your relationships or your work life
You’re not alone.
Living with ADHD can be hard, especially in a world that doesn’t understand it, or assumes that you’re “lazy” or “unmotivated”. I love working with clients with ADHD to help them understand their minds, their ways of seeing the world, and ways to exist in a world that wasn’t made for us.
In therapy with me, you’ll:
Learn strategies to improve your daily functioning in a way that prevents burnout and overwhelm
Process negative core beliefs that have been developing since childhood
Learn to communicate with your partner, friends, or family about the ways your brain works to help improve your relationships with others
And more!
Strategies I Use:
EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) can be truly life changing for folks with ADHD. EMDR helps you to reprocess traumatic experiences and replace negative core beliefs with positive ones to help reduce your distress and overwhelm.

Individual EFT
Most people think EFT (emotionally focused therapy) is just for couples, but it can be great for individuals with ADHD as well. Together, we will work on de-escalating your stress, reconnecting with your feelings, and growing more confident in dealing with tough emotions.
